BOLD Laser Automation, announced the shipment of a LPW2424 Laser Precision Welding System during the second quarter of 2020. This represents the third unit of this flagship LP product line to ship this year. The LP series provides system configurations for clients who need production ready platforms for welding, soldering and cutting applications.
BOLD’s LPW2424 is a fully integrated micro welding platform utilizing SPI Fiber lasers for critical applications within the Medical Device, Electronic Packaging, Automotive and Aerospace marketplace.
Built to maximize production throughput, the LPW2424 offers dual 24”x24” (600mm x 600 mm) pallet processing. With side by side pallet configuration, allowing the client to begin with a single laser head and then as volume grows add a second laser head for double the throughput while conserving nearly 75% of their capital expense, by not having to add a second machine.
The LPW2424 comes with a selection of laser power options from 500W to 3 kW. Integrated machine vision alignment with flawless CADCAM based control offers users a highly reliable and efficient production tool. The LPW product can be configured with a variety of automated tooling, robotic part handling as well as customized large panel based fixturing for true production level volumes. Its integrated debris and effluent extraction system, operators are free from harmful debris, dust and gases generated during the process.
