    GatewayMagazine-September-2020

September has arrived, and with that, the kids are back in school. Or, are they? Some of us here at the Gateway are busy busting out the pages of this magazine on one hand, teaching our kids on the other. It’s a weird time. But, if we’re not learning, we’re not living. Every day is a learning experience, regardless how old you are and how much you know (and think you know). There’s always something new we can add to our bag of tricks, and that’s what makes things interesting and the days worth tackling.

This month we’re shedding some light on the correlations of Industry 4.0 and the topic everyone seems to be talking about (outside of, you know, everything dominating the news channels) – the arrival and adoption of 5G as the new mode of communicative / data delivery.

Ah, technology, always changing, and thus, always bringing change. Supposedly 5G is bigger, better, and faster, but, aren’t they all? It sure feels that way… That said, mobile communications and wireless technology are definitely driving the world we live in today, so, the best we can do is try to keep up and see how each technological advancement can help make our operations and way of thinking better. That said, we hope you learn something new within the narrative we’ve spun up here. And, we’d love to hear from you and know what you’re doing to take advantage of the technological advances that are continually being applied to our industry.

We hope all is well, and that everyone is staying safe and productive.

    Cheers!
