It’s that time of year. The leaves are starting to fall from the trees. Rakes are being broken out of the shed, and things outside are getting frightful. We’re starting to wonder if we’ll be passing out Halloween candy to all the little vampires, witches, and ghouls (and assorted Star Wars characters…), or if we’ll all be stuck in another round of quarantine. Which, would definitely be a nightmare. That said, we’ve spent some time this month dwelling on that “worst case” scenario. What can we do to be better prepared in the face of a global pandemic (2.0)? How can we flex our collective muscles and weather the storm together? How can we reconfigure our operative resources to gain some positive momentum (and workload) when things are pushed to a grinding halt?

There are no easy answers. Nor are there rights and wrongs. It’s basically unchartered territory for the most part. The only thing we’ve got going for us is we just went through it, so, if we’re smart, we can plan now for what could be another pandemic push.

What are you doing? We’d love to hear from you and get some insight into how you’re switching things up when it’s time to switch things up. Business as usual is quite unusual this year, and while we hope things settle down come 2021, we need to be sure we’re able to get there to continue to push the industry forward.

Bundle up, keep nimble, and let’s stay in touch…
