Where has the time gone? 2021 just started a few weeks ago. And now, 2022 is knocking on the door. In the words of Charlie Brown, “good grief.” 2021 was a curious one, to put it mildly. As we attempt to dig out of the rubble of 2020, the manufacturing industry continues to be incredibly busy, but, with that, there appears to be no shortage of challenge. One of the biggest challenges, as we sit it (and something we keep constantly talking about) is the supply chain. You don’t need us to tell you that it’s in a very bizarre, and often frustrating spot. We’re hoping 2022 finds some solution for that issue, though it may take a few years before we’re “business as usual” from that vantage point.
With that said, let’s continue to focus on things that are more in our control. Focus on optimizing our operations. Making sure our workforce is prepared and armed with the tools they need to get the job done efficiently and effectively for our customers. Working together as “a team” here in the northeast to ensure that our industry remains strong and that there’s a communal network of support to help each other achieve success. One thing we’ve learned over the years is there’s no shortage of great people working amongst us that are willing to lend a helping hand and push our jobs across the finish line. Don’t feel like you need to add costly expenditures to get your own line up to speed to complete a piece of a job when you can outsource that particular piece to your neighboring shop. Sure, we’re competitors to a degree; but we’re also teammates in the grander scheme of things. And hey, if you’re in need of spreading the word with regard to the services and help you can offer/provide, reach out. Let’s tell your story!
Anyhow, happy holidays to you and yours. We’ll catch you in the New Year!
Cheers!
